Why Ashley is waiting for it:
One of my favorite things about this series is the fact it comes out near my birthday! It has been like a present to myself for the past three years. Another important point is I will always read Meg Cabot. I have loved her since I first read The Princess Diaries many moons ago. But on to this trilogy. I have read the first two books within days of them coming out, which is always painful because I then have to wait another year for the next to come out. But this story is coming to an end, and I can wait to see where Cabot takes them.
Golden Girl (American Fairy #2) by Sarah Zettel

Why Tina is waiting for it:
This series is about a Callie, a half-black girl in a time in which mixed heritage spelled doom, and she’s also half-fairy. Callie has escaped the Dust Bowl and is now in Hollywood, and I’m interested to see the racial implications of that. I’m also interested to see where Zettel takes her mixed up fairy groups (the Unseelies are the good guys in this one), and how Callie and Jack are faring. I really really can’t wait to see what happens with the Fairy War, which we only got whisperings of in Dust Girl. I haven’t read many fairy books this year, so I am really looking forward to this one (and the cover is stunning)!
